Soil prep is very important in the success of the sod and establishing a lawn. Soil preparation can only be done once before laying your sod. Clear all weeds and debris from area. We recommend a minimum depth of quality top soil to be 2-4 inches prior to installation of sod. Level and grade entire sod area. Soil should be graded to about one inch below concrete. Water soil to allow proper settling of ground and any trenches made prior to sod installation. Lightly rake soil before installation to allow proper contact between sod and soil. By far this company, and Sarah, know how to communicate with customers. There were mechanical issues on the sod farm which delayed my delivery. Although the message was not something I wanted to hear, Sarah did a great job keeping me updated. Hands down a great job on communicating. The rescheduled sod delivery driver called me at said he would be late, arriving at 11:30. When I told him I was supposed to have delivery by 10am he said he wasn't told that. He called me at 12 and said he couldn't find the key and would be here soon. My sod finally arrived at 1pm. There was about 10-12 rolls that were too dry to chance on putting it in. There were about 10-15 rolls that had some very thin spots from uneven cuts. Overall this is very low since I ordered 3200 square feet. Again, The communication from Sod King, specifically Sarah, was hands down some of the best I have had from a service company. Thank you, Gerald

Great Sod! I haven't found a single weed in over 9000 Sq Ft! We did run into some hiccups with getting the sod delivered but Sod King did everything they could to make up for it. I would recommend this company for sod.

Sod kings truly are the kings. Their customer service is off the charts. Sod arrived earlier than expected and Mike the driver put it right where I wanted with a smile on his face even though it was way more work for him. Tim and his crew are the only people to consider for all your sod needs.

Price, service, response time, my whole experience with the company was great. I had a reservation and they worked with me to get me a sooner appointment. Always prompt response times for quotes and any questions I had and the sod was delivered professionally and promptly. And the product quality is beautiful. When we finish our backyard I'll definitely be using them again!

Sod came early in the morning and the product seems fantastic. Attached soil wasn't wet and grass is very green. Very consistent sizing.

They were great. This is the second time I've used them, and due to unforeseen circumstances with that install, the owners actually came out personally to make sure the job was completed as promised.

When I bought the sod it wasn't green but it is really early in the season. I had them install the sod and afterwords it looked great. They were really fast. 2 hours for 2100 sqft. The info about the watering and stuff was very helpful. I will buy from them again.
